About Us

Welcome to Colorado FIRST Women in STEM (CFWS), a dedicated organization for young women in STEM from preschool through high school participating in FIRST programs. We are wholeheartedly dedicated to creating a vibrant community where young girls can thrive and lead. Through a blend of in-person, virtual, and region-specific events, CFWS offers unwavering support, encouraging girls and young women of all ages to develop confidence, forge lasting connections, and inspire one another.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower young women in FIRST, cultivate a vibrant community, and facilitate meaningful student connections with accomplished women in STEM professions.

Why Join?

Joining CFWS opens the door to a world of opportunities. As a member, students will have the chance to connect with peers spanning various FIRST programs, access valuable professional development experiences, and establish connections with both FIRST Alumni and seasoned industry professionals. We extend a warm welcome to students across all FIRST programs, with select events tailored to cater to the specific needs of students at different stages of their educational journey.

Membership Requirements

To become a part of CFWS, students should be active members of a FIRST team and obtain permission from a parent or coach (if under 18 years old). Parents or coaches can easily sign up students on this website. While there are no age restrictions, please note that certain events may be specifically designed to cater to particular FIRST programs, ensuring a tailored experience for all participants. Join us in shaping the future of STEM for young women in Colorado!
